After the obligatory prayers for the Muslim community on Friday, a funeral prayer is planned in absentia for Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Hamas political bureau, who was assassinated in Tehran, the capital of Iran, on Wednesday.
The Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) informed that the decisions were made during a consultative meeting of the parties allied to the Pakistani Government, led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, on the deteriorating situation in Gaza.
The meeting also agreed to move a resolution in Parliament to express full solidarity with the Palestinian people.
The participants strongly condemned the Israeli brutalities in the occupied territories, especially in Gaza, during the last nine months.
They also expressed deep regret and sorrow over the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, which they viewed as a conspiracy to sabotage efforts to stop Israeli atrocities and bring peace to the region.
The prime minister described Israeli terrorism against Palestinians as a tragedy for the Muslim community.
