The agreements will cover sectors such as security, health, trade, culture, science and tourism, indicated a statement from the Presidency.

Lula will arrive in Santiago on Sunday, August 4 and on Monday he will be received at La Moneda Palace by his counterpart, Gabriel Boric, with whom he will hold a private meeting and tour memorial sites, such as the office of former President Salvador Allende.

Both heads of state will participate in the closing of the Chile Brazil business forum, organized by the Society for Manufacturing Development (Sofofa) and the embassy of the South American giant in this capital.

Lula and Boric will also sign a Space Cooperation agreement at the Chilean Air Force Aeronautical Museum, located in the Cerrillos commune.

During his visit, the Brazilian president also plans to meet with the head of the Supreme Court, Ricardo Blanco; the head of the Senate, José García Ruminot; and the head of the Chamber of Deputies, Karol Cariola.

Lula was to visit Chile last May, but had to cancel the visit due to flooding in the south of his country.
