Martinelli said in statements to local radio that under such a condition Marset “starts to make mistakes.”

“And when they make mistakes is when we have to be there to catch them,” he added in reference to the arrest of the international criminal’s wife, Gianina García Troche, captured at Barajas Airport, Madrid, and charged in Paraguay.

The Uruguayan minister said he was “certain” of the whereabouts of the drug trafficker, whose capture required the “cooperation of local forces”. Regarding the arrest of García Troche, Martinelli assured that it was the result of intelligence work between Uruguay and Spain.

“Sometimes we receive certain information about Marset’s movements, his family, his children or whatever, and based on that, we put together our intelligence and warnings are given,” he said.
