On his X account, Attorney General Tarek William Saab explained that the subjects are named Marco Elías Figueroa Albornoz, Juan Jose Gonzalez Martinez and Jesus Manuel Quesada Velazquez.

He indicated that at the time of their arrests, the individuals had 10 liters of gasoline and another container with 20 liters, six glass bottles with an inflammable substance and handmade fuse (Molotov bombs), tires and blunt objects, including rocks and bladed weapons.

Saab added that the ‘criminal acts were perpetrated in the Tronconal III sector of the Simon Bolívar municipality, in Barcelona, Anzoátegui state.

The head of the Attorney General’s Office stated in another message that other individuals involved in violent acts and roadblocks on Monday were identified, and several of them are in custody.

On a televised appearance last night, President Nicolas Maduro denounced acts of vandalism in Caracas and other cities of the country, promoted by extremist forces of the opposition.

The president showed evidence of the violent actions committed by these people and pointed out that 90 percent of those captured were in an advanced state of drug intoxication and were armed, and 80 percent had criminal records.

Regarding the detainees, he pointed out that they confessed that they had been paid 150 dollars a day to carry out their well-planned and organized actions.

Maduro showed images of these fascist actions in Caracas and other states of the country, which included public transportation units, attacks on police stations, the United Socialist Party, mayors’ offices, blocking streets, aggression against police and National Armed Forces.

He explained that in several places they tried to knock down statues of Commander Hugo Chavez (1954-2013) and they succeeded in doing so in the Bolivar Square in the State of La Guaira (North).

They are all wanted, some have already been captured and ‘we will go there in thousands to vindicate this inexplicable aggression’, he expressed.
