The information was published on the official Russian legal information portal and highlights that the president of the Russian Federation accepted the proposal of the Government of the Russian Federation to sign the agreement at the highest level.
The president also instructed the Russian Ministry of Energy to start the negotiations.
The common energy market is one of the fundamental issues in relations between Moscow and Minsk. Its creation was particularly discussed during Putin’s visit to Belarus last May.
Initially, the launch of the common energy market was planned for early 2024, however, as Putin noted, there were some disagreements between Moscow and Minsk.
