Foreign Ministry Spokesman Lin Jian stressed that the two nations defamed Beijing on maritime issues and interfered in internal affairs, including matters related to Taiwan, Hong Kong, Xinjiang, and Tibet.
The spokesman accused Tokyo and Washington of adopting a Cold War mentality, manipulating bloc politics, and causing factional clashes, which “undermine regional peace and stability and harms other countries’ security interests.”
Lin noted that China has lodged a formal protest with Japan, urging the neighboring country to adopt an objective and rational view of this country.
He also called to stop political manipulation, stop provocations on maritime issues, and cease aligning countries outside the region to create divisions and confrontations in the region.
Lin urged Tokyo to take a peaceful development and win the trust of its Asian neighbors and the international community through concrete actions, instead of undermining regional stability and security with its policies.
