Venezuela triumphed over imperialism, ambassador to Bolivia states

La Paz, Jul 29 (Prensa Latina) Venezuelan Ambassador to Bolivia Cesar Trompiz noted on Monday that President Nicolas Maduro's reelection is a victory of the constructive forces of this new era, a triumph of Latin America and the Caribbean.

The will won again against imperialism and hegemonism represented by the United States of America and its blockade against the peoples, with Venezuela today Cuba wins, Nicaragua wins,’ he noted in an interview with Prensa Latina.

Trompiz added that ‘today the peoples in struggle of our America win, Bolivia wins, the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America wins, the farmers’, indigenous and workers’ movements, who throughout the world are demanding rights and dignity for all of our populations, for all of our people.’

The diplomat thanked all the friends who on Sunday joined the vigil at the Embassy during the whole election process and made their solidarity clear beforehand.

It has been a stage of fighting the international ultra-right wing and particularly that of Latin America and Bolivia, but once again the Bolivarian people is worthy, is Chavista and triumphs in democracy,’ he said.

We know that we have big challenges ahead, we have to do many things to politicize our people again to overcome the blockade by imperialism in the brain of our people,’ the ambassador said.

He explained that it is necessary to make people understand that the ills afflicting Venezuela are not a result of its government’s inefficiencies, but precisely of a blockade that has already made the country lose more than 600 billion dollars as a result of retaliatory measures called ‘sanctions’ that are illegal.

“We went this time to one of the most unequal elections held in Venezuela, subjected by the United States to more than 935 unilateral coercive measures against our people,’ he said.

Trompiz pointed out that this includes ‘the theft of the Citgo oil company in the United States, of our gold in Europe; the blockade of our oil, of our trade, the discrediting of our president and also the expulsion of some international organizations.’

“To all this is added the instrumentalization of international justice against Venezuela and the instrumentalization of human rights’, he said.

“I must also refer to the instrumentalization of a cowardly left in Latin America, servile to the interests of the ultra-right wing, that at the first opportunity what they want is to be seated in the White House as a good guest instead of mixing with the popular causes.’

The ambassador reiterated the qualification of coward with respect to that sector, and explained that Cuba, Nicaragua, Bolivia, the dignified brothers of Colombia or the peoples that fight against imperialism do not join those practices.

In these elections, we have given a lesson to the peoples of the world, because we demonstrated that, against imperialism, it is possible if we march united,’ the ambassador stressed.

Trompiz stated that ‘if we join our military, police, women, peasants, students, with all our people in this march, yes, we will be able to do it.’

The ambassador considered that the way to democracy is that of the peoples, but with great unity, and that ‘is demonstrated today by the Venezuelan people and Nicolas Maduro Moros together with Latin America which, from the grassroots, from the sensitive hearts, closely followed this process with dignity, sensitivity and love.’

“On behalf of Venezuela, of my president, I thank you for the day of solidarity lived here in Bolivia on Sunday,’ the ambassador concluded.
