A statement from the PIT-CNT Secretariat of Human Rights and Social Policies condemned the decision by the administration of President Javier Milei against what it described as a “popular university.”

The text noted that this house of higher studies has the purpose of transforming reality through education in human rights and other essential areas for society.

The workers’ union pointed out that the intervention is an attempt at “erasing and eliminating any forum of resistance” to the authoritarian and denying policies of Milei’s Government.

We express our solidarity for and concern about this outrage, you should know that the UNMa is not alone, the statement stressed.

The document concludes with a call for resistance and mutual support among social and educational organizations.
