On his X profile, CPA Secretary of International Relations Jorge Kreyness noted that Maduro’s reelection assures the continuity of the socialism of the 21th century and the legacy of former President Hugo Chávez (1954-2013).
Long live Latin American and Caribbean unity in a multipolar world, he added.
The Movement for Peace, Sovereignty and Solidarity among Peoples, in turn, urged to respect the will of the majority of Venezuelans, expressed at the ballot box. In a statement, the organization denounced the imperial war against Latin America, “in the form of hard and soft coups d’état, economic and financial blockades, lawfare (judicial persecution), attempted invasions and assassination attempts.”
In spite of this, Venezuela came to the elections with peace as a banner and cornerstone of its democratic system. From the international community we demand compliance with the Vienna Convention and other international treaties, so that the Venezuelan embassies and diplomatic corps are respected throughout the world, the text indicated.
