From the Simón Rodríguez Bolivarian School, in Caracas, the head of State, accompanied by the first combatant and legislator to the National Assembly -Parliament-, Cilia Flores, went to hall five and there he complied with each one of the established protocols.
“It’s a beautiful morning, the day has come, I said it was going to come in peace and it came in peace. Maduro assured that “if there is something that must be preserved and defended, it is peace, harmony and coexistence among Venezuelans”.
The head of State underscored that today must be a day in which good triumphs in Venezuela, which is the greatest expression of love.
The president commented there is a permanent battle between love and hate, between those who hate and want revenge and those who love and want Venezuela.
“Not one electoral incident nor one slap to a candidate”, he said in reference to the 22-day electoral campaign that finished on July 25.
Maduro pointed out that it was a free and open electoral campaign where everyone spoke and the only candidate persecuted by Goliath and in social media was him, “but we are not used to whining but used to taking creative actions,” he asserted.
The leader affirmed all the polling stations, over 30,000 had been installed with all their personnel.
On a press briefing, the president asked for respect for the National Electoral Council and pointed out that “respect for the electoral process is respect for the law, and we are all compelled to respect it.”
We ask for respect to Venezuela, which has an arbitrator, and we do not interfere in any electoral system in the world, he remarked.
In this sense, he expressed that nobody is going to lead Venezuela to chaos because there is an Electoral Council and a Constitution, and he assured that he will respect and recognize the decision through the official bulletins, and “I will make them be respected.”
“I call on the 10 candidates and the 38 political parties to publicly declare that they will respect the official bulletin of the National Electoral Council,” he stressed.
Maduro also guaranteed that if re-elected, his mission will be to unite the country more, deepen the dialogue and continue building new consensuses so that Venezuela may have a solid project for the future.
