The landing ship Longhushan and the training ship Zhenghe, from the Chinese Navy arrived in Vladivostok, in the Russian Far East, on an official visit, thus continuing the exchanges between the two countries, the agency said in a statement.

The Chinese crew members were welcomed to the city, home of the Russian Pacific Fleet, in a solemn ceremony.

The hosts organized several cultural events for the Chinese sailors, including a city tour and a visit to the Russian Pacific Fleet museum.

Joint sports activities are also planned with Russian Navy sailors and with the crew members of the Vietnamese frigate Hung Dao, which arrived in Vladivostok on Wednesday.

The Chinese vessels will remain in Vladivostok until July 30.
