In their usual weekly report prior to Olympics, which will be inaugurated in a few hours, the Mayor’s Office and the Prefecture of Paris disclosed the good news, although concerns have not entirely disappeared, particularly after the rains forecast at sunset on Friday afternoon.
The quality of the Seine River’s waters has been a major concern with an eye on the Olympic Games, after abundant rainfall in June and July triggered poisoning with Escherichia coli and Enterococcus bacteria, present at levels above those accepted for bathing by international federations.
