The article added that the main tourist-sending markets are Canada, Cuban residents abroad, the Russian Federation, the United States, Germany, Mexico, France, Spain, Argentina and Italy.
According to ONEI, at the end of June, Cuba had received 1,680,485 travelers, who account for a 101.1-percent increase compared to the same period last year.
Out of the total, 1,309,836 travelers were international visitors, close to 11,300 more than during the previous year.
According to the information, in the last three months, the number of international visitors has decreased; however, there is a recovery compared to previous years.
The article added that travelers are those who travel between two or more countries, and international visitors are those who arrive in a country other than the one in which they have their habitual residence.
