Palestinians condemn Netanyahu’s speech to US Congress

Ramallah, Jul 25 (Prensa Latina) Palestinian parties, movements and leaders condemned today the speech of the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, before the US Congress and criticized Washington's support to the crimes in the Gaza Strip.

The presence of a war criminal like Netanyahu in the US legislative house confirms that the White House is the main sponsor of terrorism, denounced in a statement the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.

The left-wing organization affirmed that this power “is directly involved in the unprecedented crimes against the Palestinian people.”

Netanyahu’s speech before Congress was a marketing operation of lies, during which he tried to justify his army’s violations in the coastal enclave, it pointed out.

The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, which accused the head of the Israeli government of raising a false flag of peace in his speech to Congress yesterday, made a similar statement.

Netanyahu’s lies in Congress contradict the U.S. narrative about democracy, human rights, international legitimacy, peace, prosperity and global stability, it said.

The Front considered that the reception of the right-wing politician ‘confirms the fallacy of the US project of peace under the two-state solution’.

In turn, Mustafa Barghouti, secretary general of the Palestinian National Initiative Movement, described the speech as a disgrace.

Netanyahu’s speech was full of falsehoods and surpassed Joseph Goebbels in his lies, he said, referring to the Nazi propaganda minister.

The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) also condemned the Prime Minister’s words after accusing him of preventing a prisoner exchange between Israel and Palestinian militias.

The governmental Fatah movement described the events in the American hemicycle as a circus and Islamic Jihad questioned ‘the lies and slander’ of the head of the Israeli government.

Netanyahu insisted again on his attacks against Iran, after calling for a common front against that Muslim nation, and defended the military operations in Gaza, where more than 39,000 Palestinians have been killed in the past nine months.
