Choe hosted a reception at Pyongyang’s Koryo Hotel for his Belarusian counterpart, Maxim Ruzenkov, who arrived here on Tuesday on an official visit.
The firm stand of the DPRK government is to open a new era in the development of bilateral relations by expanding and strengthening ties comprehensively with the Republic of Belarus, which pursues common ideals and goals, he said.
Ruzenkov, in turn, assured that rapprochement between the two nations is an issue that is “under the deep attention” of President Aleksandr Lukashenko, and the DPRK’s top leader, Kim Jong Un.
Both nations are among the most supportive of Russia’s special operation in Ukraine.
During Vladimir Putin’s visit to the DPRK just over a month ago, Kim Jong Un expressed his support for the Russian offensive and signed a strategic partnership agreement with his guest under which the two countries will provide military assistance to each other if either of them is attacked.
