Spanish government criticizes PP for its position on immigrants

Madrid, Jul 22 (Prensa Latina) The Spanish Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, Elma Saiz, lashed out today against the opposition Popular Party (PP), accusing it of embracing the xenophobic messages of the Vox formation, the capital's television indicated.

Saiz considered that although formally the PP recently announced breaking up with Vox in the governments of several autonomous communities it still maintains positions very close to that of that ultra-right-wing formation, highlighted the press.

There are no half measures in the reform of the Law on Foreigners because either solidarity is shown or not, there is no other option, commented the Spanish head of state, about a reform of article 35 for the compulsory distribution of about 6,000 minors without guardianship.

Vox, known for its frontal position against migrants, entered into contradiction with the PP on the issue of the distribution of unaccompanied children, which led to the breakup of coalition governments in several autonomous communities.

Saiz met this day with representatives of several of these communities to address the reform of the regulation of foreigners, against which Vox, Junts and Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya, are against.

The Minister of Inclusion, Social Security, and Migration stressed that the reform refers to three fundamental aspects: family, training, and employment.

Last February, the minister pointed out that the reform was intended to accompany and help in the procedures and alleviate the administrative burden in this management.
