Since the ruling, the “pace of massacres has increased as well as the number of victims and destruction,” the leader said in a statement.
As an example, he cited Monday’s launch of a new ground offensive against the southern Gaza town of Khan Yunis, which has so far claimed at least 40 lives and wounded dozens.
Fattouh criticized the ethnic cleansing operations in the coastal enclave, which has been under attack for more than nine months.
He also condemned “the bloody war and the brutal and horrible crimes perpetrated by the racist right-wing government” headed by Benjamin Netanyahu.
Last Friday, the ICJ deemed Israel’s occupation of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank illegal and a violation of international law.
In its ruling, the court also found that settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem violated international law and recalled the prohibition on acquiring territory by force.
Israel must withdraw “as quickly as possible” from these areas and repair the damage caused over decades, it said.
