Rodríguez will participate in the 1st Session of the Preparatory Committee of the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development, scheduled from July 22 to 26 in Addis Ababa.
The diplomat’s agenda also includes laying a wreath in tribute to 163 Cuban combatants who fell in 1978 in the battle of Karramara to protect Ethiopia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity against external expansionist attempts.
The deputy foreign minister will also chair an event on the occasion of Cuba’s Day of National Rebelliousness on July 26, at which members of the Cuban Embassy, Cuban residents and members of the Association of Friendship between the Peoples of Ethiopia and Cuba will participate. The visit will be an opportunity to highlight the historic ties of friendship, solidarity and cooperation between both countries, exchange on topics of common interest and ratify the will to continue to strengthen bilateral relations.
