Argentines perceive increase in poverty, hatred and intolerance

Buenos Aires, Jul 22 (Prensa Latina) Around 66 percent of Argentines consider that poverty, hatred, and intolerance in Argentina are increasing today, according to a study by the consulting firm Zuban Córdoba y Asociados.

Based on this entity, Javier Milei’s government is going through one of its most complex economic periods, beginning to show a growing instability in exchange and financial matters, while some warning lights are appearing, such as citizens’ concern for the issues mentioned above.

At present, 48.8 percent of the population would agree to vote in the next legislative elections for a “French-style” union of the opposition to defeat or limit the ruling party.

The deputy of Unión por la Patria Leandro Santoro is the leader with the highest positive image (50 points) and is followed by the vice-president Victorial Villarruel (48.7), of La Libertad Avanza, the Minister of Security Patricia Bullrich (44.5) and the member of the Unión Cívica Radical Ricardo Alfonsín (44).

Milei is in fifth place with 43.6 percent support and 54.2 percent disapproval.

As indicated in the survey, the items that citizens consider most relevant are public health, lowering poverty, improving the income level of families, security, democracy, and education, among others.

However, those surveyed believe that the government prioritizes issues such as reducing public spending, inflation, and the dollar price while putting human rights and social justice at the bottom of its concerns.
