With a call to unmask false narratives and confront disinformation, the more than 150 foreigners and dozens of nationals began deliberations over two days, preceded by a nearly three-hour exchange with President Ilham Aliyev.
The 2nd Shusha Global Media Forum brings together top news agencies from 30 countries, three international organizations and 82 other media outlets from around the world.
Participants discussed an assessment of the impact and scope of disinformation, as well as policies and initiatives to build a more resilient society in the face of this scourge.
They also took part in round tables on the effects of artificial intelligence on reality, the media and disinformation, with the need to promote media literacy.
An important moment of the II Shusha Forum was the analysis of climate change and its correspondence with the media.
In this regard, the participants received a report on the preparations for the November session of the United Nations Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), to be held in this nation.
