The military agency’s statement, published on Sunday on its official Telegram website, said that as a result of successful actions, the units of the Western group of troops entered the settlements of Rozovka in Lugansk and Peshchanoiye Nizhneye in Kharkov.

The report also indicate that the Ukrainian troops lost about 1,700 troops in the area of the special military operation over the past day.

The highest number of Ukrainian casualties was registered on the line of operations of the Western group of troops, where, according to the military body, the enemy lost more than 520 soldiers during the day.

These Ukrainian casualties were add to 510 casualties in the line of operations of the Southern group; 330 in the line of operations of the Central group; 145 in the line of operations of the Northern group; 115 in the line of operations of the Eastern group and 80 in the line of operations of the Dnieper group.

Meanwhile, air defense systems shot down an Ukrainian Mi-8 military helicopter and 40 drones, as well as two French-made Hammer guided bombs and two US-made Himars missiles.

Russian artillery and aviation destroyed a warehouse where up to 400 tons of Ukrainian forces’ ammunition, a Himars multiple rocket launcher system, as well as workshops of an Ukrainian military sector enterprise were stored. Since the beginning of Russia’s military operation in Ukraine, Russian forces have destroyed 630 aircraft, 278 helicopters, 27,955 unmanned aerial vehicles, 554 anti-aircraft missile systems, 16,624 tanks and other armored vehicles.
