The Commission for Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners Club stressed in a joint statement that the figure includes women and minors.
They pointed out that such operations are accompanied by an escalation of crimes and rapes, abuse, severe beatings and threats against these individuals and their families.
They also criticized the assaults and destruction of homes during arrest operations, as well as the seizures of vehicles, money, jewelry and gold.
According to official data, more than 560 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank since the beginning of the current wave of violence on October 7 last year in assaults by Israeli security forces and settlers.
This Sunday, the Norwegian Refugee Council denounced that Israeli security forces and settlers killed 228 Palestinians, including 51 minors, in the first half of the year in the West Bank, an increase of 65 percent year-on-year.
In a statement, the non-governmental organization criticized ‘the severe escalation of human rights violations’ in the West Bank in the first half of 2024.
More than 1,000 Palestinians displaced and nearly 160,000 affected by the policy of demolishing structures, it stressed.
The group pointed out that in the first half of the year, the number of search and arrest operations carried out by the country’s military and police in the West Bank almost doubled by going from 1,873 in the same period last year to 3,384.
