The statement, which was published in X social media, was signed by the heads of both agencies, Vladimir Padrino and Remigio Ceballos, respectively, and it establishes rules to be complied by from 12:01 local time on July 26 until 23:59. on July 29.

The Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces will establish a strict control over border movement of people, both by land, air and sea, as well as the movement of vehicles.

Likewise, it will prevent the carrying of firearms and bladed weapons; and prohibits the sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages throughout the national territory during the aforementioned hours.

In this respect, the declaration warned that the Police and other duly authorized security agencies will proceed “to the immediate closing of the establishments and businesses that incur in disrespect and non-observance of the aforementioned provisions.

The resolution prohibits in all the national territory public meetings and demonstrations, concentrations of people and any other similar act that may disturb or affect the normal development of the electoral process, always during the same hours.

Another prohibition is associated to the transfer, displacement, transportation, use or operation of heavy machinery in all the national territory, except for circumstances or contingencies in the event of natural phenomena or urgent needs to guarantee urgent services to the population.

It also limits the distribution and commercialization at wholesale and retail of fireworks and solid fuel lifting devices throughout the national territory, strictly on the occasion of the electoral process.
