According to journalist and writer Fernando Morais, biographer of the progressive leader, obtained through requests logged in 2019, the information covers the period from 1966 to 2019, according to the newspaper Folha de Sao Paulo, .
Such observation resulted in the production of 819 documents, totaling three thousand 300 pages of records.
Most of the files were produced by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), which maintains 613 scans, totaling two thousand pages.
Among other aspects, the documents detail Lula’s relationship with former President Dilma Rousseff (2011-2016), and with authorities in the Middle East and China, in addition to Brazilian military plans and the production of the mixed economy oil company Petrobras.
The records cover Lula’s rise in the labor movement during the military dictatorship (1964-1985) until shortly after his unjust imprisonment in 2018.
Despite the vast collection, the renowned communicator and literary scholar has not yet had access to all the documents. There is no collected information on the third term of the founder of the Workers’ Party, which began in 2023.
