Among what the Saharawi Association of Victims of Serious Violations of Human Rights (ASVDH) describes as abuses of the occupants is the seizure of lands and properties, according to the statement of the entity circulated here on Friday by the SPA news agency.

In this regard, the ASVDH cites the confiscation of the properties of the family of Hamdi Uld Sidahmed Ali whose residence was besieged lately by Moroccan soldiers under the command of the delegate of the Ninth District, along with an intelligence officer and the police who attacked a group of Saharawis who planned to meet in the place.

Civilians, including elderly people, who were protesting against the confiscation of Saharawi land and property, were beaten and arrested by the attackers, the communiqué referred.

The method is similar to that employed by the Israeli army in the occupied West Bank to settle Zionist Israeli people, observers noted.
