The parliamentarians discussed two bills on Administrative Procedures, and Decorations and Titles. Justice Minister Oscar Silvera is in charge of the presentation.
The bill on the Migration Law, which seeks to regulate the Cuban migration process within the framework of a systemic development concept aimed at achieving regular, orderly, and safe migration, will also be put to the lawmakers for consideration.
Cuba enacted the Migration Law in 1972, the provisions of which were published in 1978 and were one of the most relevant changes to that policy in the country.
Four decades later, in 2012, an updating process began by means of several decrees, prior to several modifications introduced in 2015, 2017, and 2019.
On Thursday, lawmakers approved the Law on Transparency and Access to Public Information, an unprecedented regulation in Cuba’s legal outlook.
