Cuba congratulates Nicaragua on anniversary of the Revolution

Havana, Jul 19 (Prensa Latina) Cuban authorities, headed by President Miguel Diaz-Canel, congratulated the Government and people of Nicaragua on the 45th anniversary of the triumph of the Sandinista Revolution in that Central American country.

In messages posted on X, the head of State, as well as Prime Minister Manuel Marrero and Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, among other Cuban leaders, praised the historic event and congratulated Nicaragua’s leaders, President Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo.

“Our most sincere congratulations to Daniel and Rosario on the 45th anniversary of the Sandinista Revolution, an event that marked a new historic moment for Latin America and the Caribbean.”

“We wish them to continue to be successful on the road to all possible social justice,” Diaz-Canel wrote.

Marrero, in turn, congratulated “the beloved people of Nicaragua, President Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo, who are celebrating today the 45th anniversary of the triumph of the Sandinista People’s Revolution.”

Meanwhile, the head of Cuban diplomacy reiterated his unrestricted support for the Government of Unity and National Reconciliation of Nicaragua, which he congratulated on the 45th anniversary of the triumph of the Sandinista Revolution, ‘under the leadership of Commander Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo.’

Cuba sent a delegation, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Ramiro Valdes, who will participate in the main ceremony on the occasion of the anniversary, the Cuban Embassy in Managua, the Nicaraguan capital, told Prensa Latina.

The Hero of the Republic of Cuba and Commander of the Revolution is accompanied by the head of the Cadre Policy of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Humberto Camilo Hernandez.

The Cuban delegation also includes Deputy Foreign Minister Josefina Vidal and the Deputy Director General of Press, Communication and Image of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ileana Fonseca.

More than 700 international guests and official delegations from other nations are participating in the activities for the national day in Nicaragua.

Representatives from Russia, Belarus, Algeria and Iran, among others from Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe, Asia and Africa, stand out in the celebrations.
