The president stated that the extreme right is imbued with hatred, the desire for revenge, racism, and contempt for the people, and stressed that if they deceived the population in Venezuela “a bloodbath and a civil war may come” because the people are not going to let their country be taken away, that they hand over Guayana Esequiba and the privatization of their social rights.
The head of state expressed: “we are a force and a Popular Power in every street and community, but we are also a military and police power, and the civil-military union is not going to let this country get taken away from them.”
Maduro warned thousands of followers that whatever happens on July 28th will determine if there will be peace and stability in the coming years or if “Venezuela will enter a spiral of violence, destabilization, and a civil war.”
“We go backward and become a colony, or we continue to be a free and sovereign homeland; savage capitalism arrives, or we continue building our humanist and liberating, Christian and Bolivarian model,” Maduro warned, and asked for a vote for peace, tranquility, for the right to the future and independence.
“Go out and vote because we are the only ones who guarantee peace and the very existence of the Bolivarian Republic; peace or war, tranquility or riots, to vote then and to triumph,” the president stressed.
Maduro affirmed that the 1X10X7 electoral system, which brings together all the revolutionary and Chavista forces guarantee peace, and commented that “we are building victory together, this is not the problem of one man, but of a country.”
