As reported today by the state news agency ACNC, Kim expressed this wish in a message to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, thanking him for the message he had sent on the 30th anniversary of the death of the founder of the DPRK, Kim Il Sung.
The general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea also wished Syria further success in defending national sovereignty and economic and social development.
Born on April 15, 1912 and died on July 8, 1994, Kim Il Sung was the creator of the Juche ideology and supreme leader of the DPRK from its founding in 1948 until he died in 1994.
Under his leadership, the country was established as a socialist state with a centrally planned economy.
These days, on the 30th anniversary of his death, hundreds of messages have been received in Pyongyang from international leaders and personalities, revolutionary and progressive parties, and organizations from around the world.
