One of the topics that will be addressed during the visit is the Bioceanic Road Corridor, a project to strengthen infrastructure, encourage trade, and promote tourism between Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, and Chile.
According to Boric’s agenda, the president will attend Expo 2024 as a special guest, one of Paraguay’s most important events, which brings together various productive and business sectors in the country. He will also participate in a business meeting at Paraguay’s Central Bank where participants will discuss commercial and economic relations between the two nations.
Boric and President Santiago Peña, and their respective ministerial teams and senior officials, will address bilateral and regional cooperation issues to establish a deeper dialogue and to identify specific areas of collaboration.
After the meetings, the heads of state will issue a joint press statement, sharing the main agreements reached and the perspectives on relations between Chile and Paraguay.
Boric will participate in an honorary session in the National Congress, where he will offer a speech before Paraguayan senators and deputies about the importance of bilateral cooperation and friendship between both peoples.
This is Boric’s second trip to Paraguay as head of state after the one made in August of last year to participate in Peña’s assumption.
