Diaz-Canel meets with Belarusian prime minister

Havana, Jul 17 (Prensa Latina) President Miguel Diaz-Canel met with Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko, who is on an official visit to Cuba until Wednesday, July 17.

The Cuban head of State wrote on his X profile that he had a pleasant and fruitful meeting with the Belarusian prime minister and conveyed warm greetings to Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.

Diaz-Canel and Golovchenko highlighted the potentialities to strengthen ties in the agri-food, biopharmaceutical, industrial, and financial sectors, the Cuban president wrote on the same social platform.

On Wednesday morning, Golovchenko visited the Fidel Castro Center in Havana, an institution dedicated to the study and dissemination of the life, work, and thought of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution.

On Tuesday, Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero met with Golovchenko at Havana’s Convention Center, and both leaders noted the excellent state of relations.

Cuba’s National People’s Power Assembly (ANPP) President Esteban Lazo met with the Belarusian prime minister and highlighted the excellent state of inter-parliamentary relations, based on the “magnificent and historic relations of fraternity, solidarity, and mutual respect.”

Earlier, ANPP Vice President Ana Maria Mari Machado met with Golovchenko, who will conclude his visit to Cuba on Wednesday.
