The official noted that not much can be said about the attack because the investigation is still underway. He confirmed that it was conducted by an international team.
Chikhanchin stated before the Federation Council (Upper House of the Russian Parliament) that several organizations using diverse instruments, including crypto currencies, funded the terrorist attack.
In his opinion, the attack was carefully planned and its organizers relied on an international network of accomplices.
Chikhanchin added that many countries are ready to help Russia to investigate the Crocus attack, as they are interested in preventing terrorism.
On the evening of March 22, a group of gunmen opened fire at a crowd gathered at the Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk, near Moscow, just a few minutes before the start of a rock concert.
The terrorist attack resulted in 144 dead and 551 wounded.
