According to the FSB statement, published on its official Telegram channel, it was found out in the course of investigation that a Ukrainian citizen born in 1982, was recruited to collaborate secretly with the Main Intelligence Service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
It explained that the man passed on information about the location of permanent bases of the Russian Army on the territory of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
On this basis, a criminal case was opened under Article 276 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (collection and transmission of other information by order of foreign intelligence services to be used against the security of the Russian Federation, i.e. espionage).
The sentence established for this crime is a maximum of 20 years in prison.
The FSB added that the man installed cameras and transmitted information in real time to the Ukrainian forces.
