Ukraine’s NATO membership will lead to world war

Bratislava, Jul 12 (Prensa Latina) Ukraine's membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) would guarantee the outbreak of World War III, Prime Minister Robert Fico affirmed on Friday.

Fico said that the lawmakers from his Smer-SSD party will not support Kiev’s membership in the military alliance.

I repeat it publicly: the Smer party and its lawmakers will not agree in the Slovak Parliament with Ukraine’s NATO membership, the politician said in his video message.

Fico, quoted by Markiza TV channel, noted the wrong course of Ukrainian politicians, who have repeatedly claimed that the membership in the military bloc will allegedly guarantees security in the region.

I understand Ukraine’s desire, it is an independent country, but Ukraine’s path to NATO is precisely a guarantee of World War III, Fico stressed.
