Damascus, Jul 12 (Prensa Latina) At least 300 displaced Syrian nationals who resided in Lebanon returned home on Friday as part of measures taken by the governments of the two neighboring countries to facilitate their repatriation.

According to migration authorities at the Zamrani border crossing, 311 people arrived in trucks and buses, and after registering their personal data, they headed to their cities liberated from terrorism, particularly in the provinces of Homs and Damascus-Countryside.

At the border checkpoint, Syrian Red Crescent teams supported by mobile clinics and medical specialists were mobilized to provide medical services and consults, in addition to offering food and vaccinating children.

The deputy governor of Damascus-Countryside, Qassem Al-Mahmoud, praised the authorities’ efforts to provide conditions that ensure the refugees’ unhindered arrival in their home towns, and facilitate their reintegration into society after long years of forced absence due to terrorism.

We call on all to return as soon as possible to their homes after regaining security and stability and reinstate basic services, he said.
