In statements to Sputnik that were published by Fana Broadcasting Corporate, Teshager, who heads his country’s delegation at the meeting, also praised relations with his counterparts from the member states of the economic bloc, which also comprises Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.
He recalled the signing of nearly 22 bilateral agreements in defense, mining, and education, among other spheres, 14 of which have been ratified.
The lawmaker stated that cooperation between the parliaments of Ethiopia and Russia is necessary as capacity building and technical support will be significant for both countries and the rest of the BRICS+ member states.
