The diplomat said Russia knows that Kiev and its Western allies are planning to hold an event similar to the summit on Ukraine held in Switzerland in mid-June, which, in his opinion, was a failure.
Galuzin noted that the event’s venue is still unknown, although he added that the important thing is not the place but “the content, where everything is obvious.”
The minister noted that Western countries seek to promote the peace formula of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, showing “deliberate ignorance of other initiatives to resolve the Ukrainian crisis.”
Switzerland held a conference on Ukraine near the city of Lucerne on June 15-16, to which President Vladimir Putin was not invited to attend, and the presidents of China, Brazil, and India neither attended, although the latter sent official delegations.
The summit’s final declaration consists of three paragraphs and calls for returning the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant to Kiev’s control, guaranteeing free navigation in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, and releasing all prisoners of war.
