NATO Summit closes ranks with Ukraine

OTAN-1-1-2-3
Washington, Jul 11 (Prensa Latina) The leaders of the 32 member countries of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) will on Thursday conclude the Summit that brought them to this capital, where they closed ranks with Ukraine and against Russia.

President Joe Biden, the host of the meeting, had already warned it on Tuesday when he announced that Kiev’s air defense forces would be reinforced by the allies.

The NATO heads of State and Government pledged on Wednesday to allocate at least 43.3 billion dollars in military aid to Ukraine by 2025.

Moreover, all the indications are that the Eastern European nation’s path to NATO membership is already irreversible, despite Russia’s warnings that the organization is playing with fire by providing weapons shipments to Ukraine.

The military alliance will appoint a representative in Kiev and a special envoy for its southern flank to coordinate relations with North Africa and the Middle East.
