European countries will develop cruise missiles to attack Russia

rusia1
Brussels, July 11 (Prensa Latina) France, Germany, Poland and Italy plan to develop long-range weapons, including cruise rockets, to attack the depths of Russian territory, the capital's press indicated today.

The winged missiles would seek to destroy targets deep in Russia from German soil, notes an article in the FAZ newspaper.

Within the framework of the summit in Washington of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), the defense ministers of the aforementioned countries signed a declaration of intent to develop long-range precision weapons, the newspaper highlights.

However, for now the initialed document only offers general explanations of the war purposes of the four states.

The German Federal Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, explained that his country will develop its own long-range precision weapons, which is reflected in the German security strategy, the statesman clarified.

Similar agreements were signed by Berlin with London and Paris, reported Scholz, for whom the announcement by the White House of the future deployment of North American hypersonic missiles on German soil was very positive, something criticized by deputies from that own nation.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has already warned that a deployment of hypersonic rockets in Germany will have consequences, including on a military level.

Russia developed several types of hypersonic missiles such as the Kinzhal, in response to the United States’ intentions to deploy an anti-rocket defense system around that country and thereby put its nuclear deterrent capacity at risk.
