The Toques del Rio band will perform on Pabellon Cuba’s main stage. At the same time, film enthusiasts will be able to watch “The Spirit” (2008) at the Alfredo Guevara cinema hall, in harmony with attractive and varied crafts, including footwear, textiles, goldsmithing, ceramics, and others.
An estimate of 93 domestic exhibitors are participating this year with 88 creators, including dance, plastic, performing arts, literature, and children’s creations.
The traditional programs “Por los caminos del arte” (On the Roads of Art) hosted by Marianela Duflar, and “Encuentro con…” by journalist Magda Resik, will enrich the program of the Cuban Cultural Fair.
Writers, sports commentators, conductors, musicians, and actors will be featured on the first day of these events, which has invited singers Christopher Simpson and Abel Geronés, and artists from the recently concluded soap opera Viceversa, on July 13.
Arte en La Rampa is dedicating this edition to the 65th anniversary of the founding institutions of Cuban cultural policy and the 505th anniversary of the former Villa de San Cristóbal de La Habana on November 16.
