In his letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Ghali described Ambassador Valerian Shuvaev, who died suddenly here, as “an experienced politician who was kind enough to visit the Dignity Camps to see the humanitarian situation and the suffering of the Saharawi refugees.”

The letter from the Secretary General of the Polisario Front adds that the Saharawi people “have lost a great friend who had repeatedly said that the doors of the Embassy of the Russian Federation were open to the Saharawis,” and expressed his readiness to develop bilateral relations based on the two countries’ national interests of the two countries”.
