Upon speaking about Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s trips to Kiev, Moscow, and Beijing, Gulyas said that Hungary would like to maintain contacts with any country willing to contribute to peace.
As our nation is holding the president of the Council of the European Union, it is seeking to talk to everyone, he said, quoted by Kossuth Radio.
The chief of the Hungarian premier’s office added that his country is well aware of its capabilities; we do not have a specific peace plan, and we are confident that it can only be developed along with the parties in the conflict.
We are also convinced that dialogue requires a ceasefire because it is unrealistic to maintain peace talks at a time when the opposing sides continue destroying each other on the battlefield, the official added.
