The spokesman specified on his Telegram channel on Saturday that the troops of the Eastern group are carrying out combat tasks in the area of the special military operation.

In the course of active actions the units of the grouping foiled attempts to strengthen the advanced positions of the enemy and dismantled strongholds of Ukrainian Armed Forces in the region under their responsibility.

The military official said that the fire from the artillery systems and heavy flamethrowers hit the troops’ formations of the 102nd and 116th territorial defense brigades and the 1st Independent Tank Brigade of Ukraine in the areas of the Urozhainoye and Staromayorskoye settlements.

During the day up to 120 enemy militaries, one Senator armored fighting vehicle, one M777 trailing howitzer, one Gvozdika self-propelled artillery unit, and four aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down, Gordoyev said.
