The meeting brings together government officials, representatives of international organizations, industries, universities and research institutes, among others.

At the opening ceremony of the conference, the Shanghai Declaration on Global AI Governance was released. The document calls for joint efforts to promote healthy development, keep security and improve the AI governance system.

The conference also launched a publication entitled “China’s AI Benefits the World,” which outlines China’s typical practices in the sector and presents the blueprint for healthy, safe and orderly development.

The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) officially launched its Global Alliance Center of Excellence on AI for Industry and Manufacturing, with the aim of enhancing international cooperation, bridging the digital divide and promoting the sustainable development of international standards and best practices.

This year’s event will set records for participating exhibitors and new products since its debut in 2018. The four-day event will attract more than 500 confirmed exhibitors, including global giants such as Tesla, Microsoft and Schneider Electric.

With an exhibition area of 52,000 square meters, the forum includes areas for humanoid robots, autonomous vehicles and large models to provide visitors with the experience of living in an AI (Artificial Intelligence) driven future.
