According to the official, the visit has an important meaning, because it covered a broad agenda and brought many major results, including the preparation of an eight-item joint press release that highlighted the progress of bilateral relations since they were raised to the level of comprehensive strategic partnership in 2022.
The statement also includes specific measures to promote cooperation in the fields of politics-diplomacy, trade, investment, science-technology, culture, tourism, labor issues, people-to-people exchange and new areas of collaboration.
Thanh Son pointed out that ministries, sectors and companies from both countries signed 40 cooperation agreements in digital transformation, renewable energy, green transition, climate change, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, culture and tourism, among other areas.
Secondly, the visit contributed to strengthening mutual political trust and reinforcing close relations between the senior leaders of both nations, who ratified their determination to promote the substantive, efficient and lasting development of the bilateral strategic partnership.
According to the foreign minister, Vietnam and South Korea identified the economy as one of the most important pillars of their relationship, and agreed to implement specific measures to reach 100 billion dollars in trade by 2025 and 150 billion of dollars by 2030.
Authorities of both countries agreed to strengthen cultural, tourist and educational cooperation with a view to achieving the goal of five million people participating in exchanges between peoples.
