When respondents were asked whether they feared the spread of hostilities in the continent to new countries, 54 percent of those questioned answered yes, compared to 33 percent who refuted that perception; while 13 percent were undecided. Harri Mikkola, an expert at the Foreign Policy Institute, told the publication that he finds it appalling when so many people are afraid of war.
The survey was commissioned by Kantar Agri from June 14 to 19 and 1,036 people living in mainland Finland were interviewed, the margin of error was three percentage points.
