Vietnam PM confirms South Korea’s interest in expanding investments

Seoul, Jul 3 (Prensa Latina) Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh confirmed the interest of several South Korean economic groups in expanding their investments in Vietnam, which has become one of the main economic engines in Southeast Asia.

On Wednesday, the prime minister attended the celebrations on the 30th anniversary of the opening of direct flights by Vietnam Airlines to South Korea.

The head of Government praised the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and South Korea, characterized by political trust, economic integration, and the shared aspiration to build a prosperous country and have a happy people, among other aspects.

The Vietnamese prime minister held official talks on Tuesday with his counterpart, Han Duck Soo, and also met with South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, who considered that Minh Chinh’s visit to Seoul will contribute to promoting the Action Program to implement the comprehensive strategic partnership between both countries.

This is the first visit by a top Vietnamese official to South Korea since the establishment of the partnership in December 2022.
