In an interview with Iran’s Press TV, Qassem reiterated his Movement’s stance of linking the end of operations against Israel with the end of Israel’s offensives against Palestinians in Gaza.
The Hezbollah deputy chief added that Tel Aviv lacks the military capability to launch a full-fledged war against Lebanon, stressing that the occupying regime has yet to make a decision in this regard.
It is up to Israel to decide whether it seeks a war, and in any case, the response from Lebanese resistance will be overwhelming and will go beyond the rules of engagement it has already established, he pointed out.
He warned that the Zionist regime would not be able to control the scope of a possible war against Lebanon and should not expect the fighting to remain limited.
Hezbollah has said repeatedly that its attacks are a response to Israel’s genocide in Gaza and that it will continue its actions until the war of extermination against the Palestinian people comes to an end.
