Speaking at the launch of the China Chamber of Commerce’s Sustainable Development Report 2023 in Islamabad, Raza Gillani affirmed support for CPEC from all parties in Pakistan.

He further noted that the government of Pakistan is aware of the challenges faced by Chinese companies there and their workers and is therefore working to ensure foolproof security for such projects and those involved in them.

Raza Gillani said that bureaucratic processes are streamlined to expedite different projects under the second phase of CPEC.

He further stressed that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor created 155 thousand jobs for the Pakistani people.

On the occasion, the Chinese Minister Counselor of the Embassy to Islamabad, Yang Guangyuan, emphasized that three months into the new government, all economic indicators have improved significantly.
