Peace is important for all European countries and Hungary will facilitate a way out of the Ukrainian conflict in its temporary presidency of the European Union in the second half of this year, Orban stated.
The Hungarian prime minister expressed hope that his stay in Kiev would help resolve bilateral issues, including the rights of the Hungarian minority in Ukraine’s Transcarpathia region, after Kiev passed a law on compulsory Ukrainian language education.
Orban noted that his country will continue to help Ukrainian refugees and is ready to participate in the modernization of the economy of the former Soviet republic and will support it during the presidency of the EU bloc.
